Goodbye to July 2018

Goodbye to July 2018

It's the last day of this month and a good moment to say Goodbye to July 2018.
Like the previous five years, there was plenty of tropical showers and a few thunderstorms. Some 18 days in this July saw rain, with a few days topping 40mm.
There was also plenty of wind, at times even very hard wind and for a couple of days we had a bit of a storm going over the island. The temperatures reached a maximum of 34C and a minimum of 25C during this recent month.
All in all a fairly typical July. Having aid that, there were also sunny days and once the sun was out, it got warm to hot fairly quickly.

This morning there's cloud cover over the island and the current temperature at 6am is 28C. It looks more likely for a small and short shower to happen than the sun to come out today.

Goodbye to July 2018; Very old Buddhist amulets on display at Wat Bo Puttharam, near Fisherman's Village. The display can be found inside the ship look alike building with the big statue of the monk.

Now that this month is almost over, it's time to look forward and meet and greet August! Hope you come and visit us on Koh Samui and you will enjoy your time on the island.

Please do 'like' my Koh Samui blog Facebook page and enjoy the beaches around the island or in front of your hotel or resort and get some well deserved rest and a break. If you're done resting or need something else to do, there's plenty of things on offer on and around Koh Samui, you can go snorkeling or diving or take a dive course.
You can also enjoy some of the trips I recommend, like a half day gourmet lunch and snorkeling trip at the Southern part of Koh Samui or a photography trip where you get to see the most photo genetic spots on the island or go for a drinks tasting tour if you like a tipple or two.

You may also opt for a very special dinner experience at The Thai Experience
Behind closed doors, reservation only and a very enjoyable and well worthwhile way of spending an evening on Samui. Authentic Thai food and a great atmosphere. Can highly recommend this experience.
