Koh Samui, Thailand weekly
weather update; 8th - 14th May, 2017
We're going to have a look at the Koh Samui, Thailand weekly weather update; 8th - 14th May, 2017.
First we're going to have a look at today's weather though and it's fairly cloudy but the sun is peeking out a bit. Current temp at 7.30am is 26C although it feels a bit warmer, but it's most likely not going to be as warm as yesterday.
Currently I'm on Phuket, conducting the May 2017 PADI IDC, and the weather here is much worse. Since my arrival there was plenty of rain and only yesterday and the day before saw the sun come back out again. Next week is supposedly going to be a very wet week here! Current temp today is 26.5C under a fairly sunny sky.
Koh Samui, Thailand weekly weather update; 8th - 14th May, 2017; Behind the Green Mango in Chaweng, the road that leads next to the Central Festival, below the Chaweng lake area
Last week and at the same time the first week of May 2017, was a bit of a mixed bag and rather typical for an average May on Koh Samui. We had some sunshine and overall it was warm but we also had plenty of rain and a few thunderstorms. The max temperatures ranged from 32 to 34C.
Koh Samui, Thailand weekly weather update; 8th - 14th May, 2017; Thalang road in Phuket town, just before sunset
The forecast for next week is looking good, Mostly partially cloudy skies with an occasional shower but towards next weekend, starting Thursday late afternoon, some more tropical rain showers might show up and the wind might pick as well.
Please do 'like' my Koh Samui blog Facebook page and enjoy the beaches around the island or in front of your hotel or resort and get some well deserved rest and a break. If you're done resting or need something else to do, there's plenty of things on offer on and around Koh Samui, you can go snorkeling or diving or take a dive course. You can also enjoy some of the trips I recommend, like a half day gourmet lunch and snorkeling trip at the Southern part of Koh Samui or a photography trip where you get to see the most photo genetic spots on the island or go for a drinks tasting tour if you like a tipple or two.
