1st Kamalaya Charity Run, September 13

Time to add a new charity run to the Koh Samui running calendar; the 1st Kamalaya Charity Run, September 13, and that's a Sunday. Organised by the Kamalaya Resort.
Start and finish will be at Namuang stadium, the only race track on the island and known for it's yearly school meeting.

Hi Camille,
My partner and I had planned to go to Kamalaya from this Sat for 10 days. But we just saw a weather report that says there will be harsh thunderstorms and high winds for most if not all of the days of our stay. Would you mind giving me your professional local report? how do you predict the weather playing out over the next 10 days? (we live in London and it rains nonstop, so the last thing we want is to spend our one holiday in the rain) :)
We appreciate your help tremendously!
Many thanks

First of all, the Kamalaya is an excellent choice, a very nice resort in a very quiet part of the island with excellent service.
Having said that, the weather is currently not in it's usually self. We're heading into a couple of cloudy days, starting next Wednesday and at this moment it looks like between next Wednesday and Friday there may be some rain and a strong breeze. Over the next weekend things may clear up again.
On the other hand, rain on Samui is most of the times different to rain in London, at least it's warm here and a tropical storm can cool things down, in-between sunny periods.
Hope this helps for now and that you will enjoy your stay on Samui. If you're planning to spend some time outside of the resort, have a read through my blog, it may give you some ideas for things to do.
