Next week the 6th edition of the Queen's Cup Golf tournament on Koh Samui will take off at the Santiburi Samui Country Club in Maenam, in the beautiful hills there.
The inaugural tournament was held in 2009 and the prize fund was US$300,000. Chinnarat Phadungsil won this first tournament. The Queen's Cup is a part of the golf tournament of the Asian Tour.

Several high-level amateur golfers will pit together for a prize of US$300,000 (B9.7 million).
Some of Thailand's top golfers will also take part in the event, including 16-time Asian Tour champion Thaworn Wiratchant, who won the event in 2012, Chawalit Plaphol, who triumphed in the 2011 Queen’s Cup, 2009 winner Chinnarat Phadungsil, as well as Arnond Vongvanij and Prom Meesawat.
