Today's weather;

The sky over Koh Samui is partially cloudy with plenty of blue spots. Current temp at 7am is 27C

On Koh Lanta we have an almost clear blue sky again, it was a few days before we had that! Current temp at 7am is 24C

The current PADI IDC here is half way now.

Yesterday saw a lovely start of the day with plenty of sunshine but the afternoon brought some hard rain. Max temp reached 31C

Today's weather;

It's partly cloudy over Koh Samui with blue spots, ranging in size pending on where you are on the island. Current temp at 7am is 26C

On Koh Lanta it's cloudy with some dark and grey clouds, it looks like rain again. Current temp at 7am is 23C

Yesterday saw a nice start of the day with some sunshine but rain came in later during the day. Max temp reached 30C

The forecast changed again, predicting rain today and some light rain come Saturday. The wind may pick again with some strong wind after the weekend, however, this should all be under fairly sunny skies.

Today's weather;

A nice blue sky is shaping again over Koh Samui, with some cloud formations over the ocean. Current temp at 7am is 25C

On Koh Lanta we have a partly cloudy sky with some blue spots in it, looking a lot better compared to yesterday, when we had rain during the afternoon. Current temp at 7am is 23C

Yesterday saw a warm and sunny day around Samui with a max temp of 31C

The forecast has eased up a bit at seemingly the very last moment, tomorrow might see some rain but the strong wind has gone. Saturday may see some stronger and more rain but after that there may be a couple of sunny days ahead of us.

On Koh Lanta we have a grey sky instead and it looks like rain might be coming down today. Current temp at 7am is 23C

It's partially cloudy over Koh Samui with a few blue spots around. Current temp at 7am is 26C

Arrived save and well on Koh Lanta yesterday and it's looking nice here with a blue sky shaping up. Current temp at 7am is a cool 22C

Yesterday saw a nice morning around Samui but after I left, the afternoon delivered some cloudy and rainy weather with a max temp of 28C

Welcome to January 2015

The weather in January is a lot of times nice and sunny. However, 2008, 2011 and last year were exceptions and there was more rain and stronger than usual.

The start has been very good with beautiful sunny skies all around the island and it might stay like this for a week.

My work will see me leave for Koh Lanta, where this time of the year it should be warm, sunny and busy!

Today's weather;

Here we are, the first day of 2015! Welcome to 2015 and once more a Happy and healthy New Year to you all.

There's a lovely, almost perfect blue sky over Koh Samui this early in the morning. Current temp at 7am is 27C

We're in Nakhon Si Thammarat this morning, where I participated in a New years Eve run through downtown Nakhon, from the city pillar shrine to Wat Mahathat and back, a distance of 4.39km which I covered in 24'50 with a 4'35 pace. My fastest race to date. At midnight I was running in a short shower.

There's a grey sky here but it's dry. Current temp at 7am here is 25C

Yesterday saw a nice and sunny day around Samui during the early morning but when we left, there was a bit of rain. Max temp reached 29C

The city pillar shrine in Nakhon Si Thammarat, where yesterday evening/night the start and finish was from the New Years even race

The forecast is looking good, possibly some more sunny skies over the next seven days although next week, just before the weekend, there may be some wind and rain again.
