Koh Samui, Thailand weekly
weather update; 13th August – 19th August 2018
Sunday morning and time for the Koh Samui, Thailand weekly weather update; 13th August – 19th August 2018. Another week of being injured and no running. Clocking on four weeks now but I still keep myself busy with indoor cycling and other forms of cross training. Think planking, weight training etc.
On to the weather though, it's cloudy over Koh Samui this morning and the current temperature at 10am is 31C The sun may pop out later today and there's nice breeze.
Koh Samui, Thailand weekly weather update; 13th August – 19th August 2018; View over Lamai bay. One fo the first people I met during my early visits to Thailand, in the mid nineties, was visiting Koh Samui and we met up. It was nice to meet him and his family and this is the place they rented via Airbnb. With a great view over Lamai bay. A three story house with 4 bed rooms and separate bath rooms. Lovely!
Last week we had a mixed bag, with plenty of sunny days but also a few showers at various times. This August is not living up to general August standards. Maximum temperatures went up to 33C and lowest temperature was measured at the beginning of the week with a mere 24C
For next week we may have some more sunshine and few showers but they rain has not completely gone! The wind has slowed down to a nice breeze. Maybe a little bit closer to what one can expect during an average August.
Nonetheless, if you're on the island, enjoy your stay and go out. See places, meet people and be safe whilst driving a car or especially a motorbike.
Please do 'like' my Koh Samui blog Facebook page and enjoy the beaches around the island or in front of your hotel or resort and get some well deserved rest and a break. If you're done resting or need something else to do, there's plenty of things on offer on and around Koh Samui, you can go snorkeling or diving or take a dive course.
You can also enjoy some of the trips I recommend, like a half day gourmet lunch and snorkeling trip at the Southern part of Koh Samui or a photography trip where you get to see the most photo genetic spots on the island or go for a drinks tasting tour if you like a tipple or two.
You may also opt for a very special dinner experience at The Thai Experience. Behind closed doors, reservation only and a very enjoyable and well worthwhile way of spending an evening on Samui. Authentic Thai food and a great atmosphere. Can highly recommend this experience.
