Koh Samui, Thailand weekly weather update; 5th February –11th February 2018; Yesterday's sunset looking out over Bang Rak bay. The picture was taken on the road leading to Big Buddha, a very popular spot during the evenings to enjoy sunsets.

Last week saw a nice and fairly sunny week. It was mostly partially clouded but sometimes it was clear blue skies. The maximum temperatures are agreeable around 30 and 31C. A nice week indeed.

Next week we will see more of the same, however with a chance of rain on Tuesday. Other than the predicted rain, expect some partially cloudy skies and later during the week some nice and blue skies.

Please do 'like' my Koh Samui blog Facebook page and enjoy the beaches around the island or in front of your hotel or resort and get some well deserved rest and a break. If you're done resting or need something else to do, there's plenty of things on offer on and around Koh Samui, you can go snorkeling or diving or take a dive course. You can also enjoy some of the trips I recommend, like a half day gourmet lunch and snorkeling trip at the Southern part of Koh Samui or a photography trip where you get to see the most photo genetic spots on the island or go for a drinks tasting tour if you like a tipple or two.

Contact me for more detailed information on any of the options mentioned.

Hello! Trying to find out where we should be and what time we should be there to enjoy some of the Chinese New Year festivities like Dragon parades, etc. Also hoping to maybe find a bar/pub to be able to hang out in for the several hours rather than standing in a crowd? Thanks!!

Hi,
The only parades happening in Samui, that I know of will be in Maenam and Nathon. Unfortunately I don't have any exact dates and times when they will be.
If you're staying in a hotel, the staff at reception may be able to help you.
