Welcome to January 2009
And to the year 2009!
Around the holiday season the weather wasn't that great, but let's hope it's going better soon. In general January can be a bit naughty with some rain here and there but it's nothing like in November!
The interesting part will be how tourism will fare during the next couple of months. Right now it's still packed to the rafters on Samui but after this weekend I expect it to slow down, just not to a grinding halt! The world wide economic credit crunch is going to hurt, I'm afraid but I hope that you good folks out there still think that Thailand and especially Samui is worthwhile a trip!
