Today's weather;
Cloud cover rules this morning and the sun is not out, yet. Current temp is 26C at 7 am
Yesterday was a mostly cloud covered day with rain after 6 pm although there were some sunny moments. Max temp reached 32.1C
Just came across your blog. Very interesting as me and my family are coming to Thailand in two weeks. We have been at Samui before and liked it very much, but this time the weather forecasts are a bit distressing to us. From your posts I understand there are nice days with some rain at the moment, but still, would you recommend Samui nowadays? Do you think the weather is more stable in the south? We will be staying for a month.
Thanks for your interest in my blog, it's appreciated.
Great also to see feedback on my blog.
Samui is a nice place indeed, I live here since 8 years now and still like it.
What the weather concerns, the Gulf of Thailand side, where Koh Samui is located is going into the rainy season and the Andaman Sea, Phuket, Kao Lak and Krabi/Koh Lanta's side, are transferring into their nice season.
It's difficult to say how the weather will develop in Samui, it's indeed on and off right now and most days have some rain, although not all.
It's not a question of going more South, as you state, but rather a question of which side to go to, either the Gulf of Thailand or the Andaman Sea.
Is it an option for you to start out in Samui and than move on if the weather isn't to your liking?
