10th June, 2009

Today's weather;

The blue sky seems to have disappeared temporarily and is replaced by overcast. Current temp at 7 am is 27.6C.

Yesterday saw sunshine and hot temperatures all day long. However, at 7 pm there was a short but very intense (thunder)storm coming through. Max temp reached 35C.

  1. Hi there

    I have come across your blog and it appears you know all things Koh Samui.. Hoping you would be kind enough to assist, I am undecided on whether to take a holiday in September in koh samui or bali. Reason being is that I have read and heard it’s the wet season in koh samui – can you confirm or deny this and perhaps recall what September 2008 was like?

    I really appreciate your help.

    Thanks
    Adrianna

  2. Hi Adriana,

    Thanks for contacting me and visiting my blog.

    My blog has archives for September 2008 and 2007, have a look at them. My experience so far for September is that the great weather in August, typically carries over to September, especially during the first part of September. Towards the end of September the rainy season could start roaring it’s head.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Hi Camille

    Thanks for your email. I am now considering Aug which by the sounds of it sounds like a good time to visit. Any hotels that stand out to you worth recommending and what are your your thoughts on which resort is nicer/better: the newish sareeraya or sala samui?
    Thanking you kindly

    Please feel free to try my Samui hotel recommendations blog my Samui hotel recommendations blog

    With the two hotels that you mention, I’m not familiar, so I’m afraid I can’t answer your question.
