  1. Absolutely hammered down this morning. Woke up to thunder claps. Quite amazing rain, very hard and heavy all morning. Nice and clear now.

  2. Hi Camille,

I have been reading your blog about the current weather. Me and my boyfriend are flying out on Monday from England and my boyfriend is a bit worried that the weather isn’t going to be nice.

There seems to be a lot of Thunderstorms and I was just wandering do they last all day or just a couple of hours and what’s the weather like afterwards?

    Thanks
    Emma

  3. Hi Emma,

Almost 90% of the year these weather reports show thunderstorms. The % that is shown with them is important, since it shows the possibility of an actual thunderstorm happening.
Even if you get rain now, it will only be for an hour or so and there’s still plenty of opportunity to catch some sun rays.
This is valid for Samui and it’s region, other parts of Thailand may have different weather patterns, but you wouldn’t be following my blog if you would go somewhere else, I assume.

  4. Thanks a lot Camille, we are staying in Koh Samui for 2 weeks and it’s our first time so we would be gutted if the weather was bad you’ve put my mind at rest so thanks!

    Kind Regards
