Hi Camille, i have been reading your weather blogs for the last few weeks, thoroughly addicted to reading them!!! Myself and fiance are coming to Samui on sat 7th June from the UK for vacation and cant wait!! The weather blogs have been excellent, and im just praying for some nice warm sunshine, fingers crossed hey!! Looked at your weather info from last June, and looks as though it should be ok weather whilst we're there. We have so far only booked 2 night in Chaweng, and plan to sort the rest out whilst we're there, i was wondering if you had any tips on nice areas to stay? somwhere not too busy and commercial, with nice beaches. the other question is about diving. my fiance is interested in doing his PADI open water, and we have been on your website to look at details as we are interested in doing it with your company, where exactly are you based? or would recommend going to do the course? i have also done my Padi open water, but have not dived for quite some time, and think i would have to do a refresher day or something like this, do you offer these? if so, would it then be ok to come on the boat dives with fiance if i paid extra??

thanks for your help, really looking forward to ariving in thailand, looks amazing!! there for 3 weeks total, so should be long enough to see some of the sights. the market you went to last week looled like its not to be missed, though not too sure about the food!!!

Thank you for your time

Hi Alicia,

Thanks for your mail and your support of my blog! It’s appreciated and good to get feedback from people who actually read it.

June should be fine, right now it’s sunny and very hot, early in the morning!

It’s no problem for Kyle to complete his Open Water diver course, have a look here at my Open Water page on my website. I will also send you a separate mail with info on the Open Water diver course. The company is based in Chaweng, at the beach road and is called Samui International Diving School. I can recommend doing the course with them and it’s no problem for you do complete a refresher and joined him during the Open Water dives, have a look here at my dive trips page.

Regarding the markets, all Thai markets are worthwhile visiting, they’re really colorful and an experience for your eyes and nose!
